JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Pastor Frank says it's about time attention is paid to folks struggling on the Westside.
So his church is offering free community meals at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church the second and fourth Thursday of every month.
Anyone hungry is welcome.
The church members make most of the food homemade, recipes like spaghetti and meatballs, hamburgers, and other goodies.
Pastor Frank is hoping business people will step forward and sponsor meals so meals can be offered every week, instead of every other week.
The next community meal at no charge is this Thursday, August 27th. Doors open at 5:30. The meal is served from 6-7pm.

The church is easy to spot. It looks like a big, puffy tent.
