ATLANTIC BEACH, FL -- A four-month-old girl has died after her family says she was having trouble breathing Tuesday morning.
Sgt. Rick Hike with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the little girl, her mother and older brother are from South Carolina and are in town visiting the girl's grandmother at the Mallard Cove apartments.
Hike says the family told him the girl slept through the night, and when they went in this morning to check on her, she was having trouble breathing, so they called 911.
The girl was rushed to the hospital, and Tuesday afternoon she died, according to JSO.
Police are still investigating, but at this time they say they do not suspect foul play.
