ORANGE PARK, FL -- Every couple of days, you can find May Martinez scouring the internet. It is part of her life.
"I do that just to see who puts stuff out there." Martinez is the mother of Colleen Slemmer, a 19-year-old Orange Park teenager, who was brutally murdered in 1995 in Tennessee.
Martinez's internet searches focus on her daughter's killer, Christa Pike, and if there is any new information out there on her.
There are hundreds of pages of information on the death row inmate. But in Martinez's latest search, she stumbled on a new page. "I found this yesterday, and it's a collage of pictures and it's called 'Christa Pike's story.'"
On the website, there are dozens of pictures of Pike and Pike's mom. There are also pictures of Martinez, but there is also a picture of Colleen. It is a closeup of Colleen's bloody face with her throat slashed.
"You see all these pictures, and the first thing you see is your daughter's throat. I have the original crime scene photos and that is a legit photo. I started crying. I looked at it and said, 'How could someone put that up there?'" says Martinez.
Martinez says she has identified the other pictures. She says they are from a 1996 shoot with a Paris film crew who shot a documentary on the murder. Martinez says it never aired.
"Who put it on there? Who has the right to do it and why? Who else would have those pictures?" asks Martinez.
There are so many questions and now so many emotions. Martinez says seeing that crime scene picture has her re-living the nightmare once again.
"I'm very angry. I don't feel they should have a right to put a victim on there without asking the parents or telling the parents."
So far, it is unclear who posted the pictures. They are on social network sites, which means anyone can post pictures.
Martinez says she will not give up the fight to find out who posted the picture and make sure it gets taken down.
