JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Shriners from nine southeastern states were tearing up the tarmac at the Municipal Stadium parking lot Thursday, continuing their cause to help burned and crippled children.
They performed a series of time trials in a variety of motor vehicles, from large motorcycles to the small cars seen in every Shriner's parade.
The organization continues to fund nineteen orthopedic and burn hospitals nationwide, where all care is provided for children under age 18 at no charge.
