JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The head coach is still the same, but much of the 2009 Jacksonville Jaguars will be different.
Gone are overpriced free agents like Drayton Florence and Jerry Porter and bonus babies like Matt Jones and Reggie Williams, and instilled is a new attitude of "team first" and "unselfishness," according to the coach Jack Del Rio.
"However, for us to be successful we will need our core players like Garrard, Jones-Drew and Lewis on offense, and Mathis, Big John and Derrick Harvey on defense to be improved and give us a chance. Last year has no bearing on this season; the NFL is a year to year league," said Del Rio.
Kept out of practice today: Torry Holt, who will practice only once a day, Scott Starks and Vince Manuwai, who are coming off ACL injuries and newcomer Sean Considine who will begin the season on the PUP, or physically unable to perform, list with a shoulder injury.
