WILMINGTON, DE (AP) -- An agreement has been reached over whether Warren Beatty's deposition can be videotaped in his fight with the Tribune Co. over the rights to cartoon detective Dick Tracy.

Although Beatty has made a living in front of the camera, his attorneys wanted a federal bankruptcy judge to prohibit the videotaping.

As part of the agreement, videotaping is allowed, but only four copies may be made -- two for each side. The agreement calls for each copy to contain a unique identifier, so that any leaks can be traced.

The media company wants the bankruptcy court to declare that it owns the rights to Tracy. Beatty's attorneys argue that the dispute should be settled in a California court.

A hearing on other aspects of that dispute was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
