JACKSONVILLE, FL -- We often seen them, scurrying around the city. Once we slow down long enough to let them scamper across the street, our minds don't usually linger on the lives of unwanted or homeless cats until we come across the next one in our way. Meet one woman who takes time to rescue those small creatures, nurses many back to health, and helps find them happy homes. Cameron Moore, with the help of a handful of volunteer families, has rescued up to 100 cats and kittens at a time through her non-profit organization Lucky Cat Adoptions, Inc. The non-profit, now in its fourth year, has no official office site. Instead, it's made up of volunteers who house the cats in foster homes. Take a look at the video news stories on this web page to see how one volunteer handles her temporary furry guests, and see how dedicated Cameron is to her cause. Cameron's day job is also spent saving animals. She works for the City of Jacksonville's spay and neuter program, First Coast No More Homeless Pets. If you see a cat or kitten in the video you'd like to adopt, shoot Cameron an EMAIL to see if the pet is still up for adoption. In the meantime, let me know about anyone else who has dedicated their lives to bettering our community. EMAIL ME so I can share their story with our viewers!
