JACKSONVILLE, FL -- It's a tale as old as time; song as old as rhyme.
See where I'm going with this?
If you have young children, then you likely know the theme music to the movie/musical called "Beauty and the Beast."
Friday morning on Good Morning Jacksonville, news anchors Phil Amato and Joy Purdy were treated to a performance by the FCCJ High School Summer Musical Theatre Experience.
For the past 3 months, students from various high schools across the First Coast studied the songs and scenes associated with the popular movie.
The FCCJ production boasts more than 70 performers and 30 technicians learning new skills to put on a stellar show in such little time.
Thursday night was opening night, and a performance was added for the weekend to accommodate growing ticket sales.
Check out the students' brief performance on GMJ here on this web page.
You can catch the entire show tonight, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon at the FCCJ South Campus.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids.
