
SACRAMENTO, CA -- Sacramento city firefighters are searching for a serial arsonist who may have started nine separate fires across the midtown area Wednesday morning.
Sacramento Fire Department Capt. Jim Doucette said the individual or individuals intended to damage buildings with the fires. Most were started in dumpsters next to buildings.
The worst fire broke out on 18th Street between Capitol Avenue and N Street. Flames inside a parking garage destroyed some boxes and threatened an apartment building. There were no cars damaged.
Here are the nine locations listed by Doucette, in no particular order:
1.) 18th betwen N and Capitol
2.) 18th and J
3.) 15th and H
4.) 15th and J
5.) 15th and I
6.) 16th and H
7.) 28th and J
8.) 1122 17th St.
9.) Elvas and 36th Way. (This may be a separate incident).
