
JACKSONVILLE, FL -- It was an early morning for Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton's chief of staff, Adam Hollingsworth.
He joined First Coast News Anchors Phil Amato and Joy Purdy on Good Morning Jacksonville to talk about the city's parks system.
Not many people realize how involved the Recreation, Community, and Water Management arm of the city impacts its residents.
The City of Jacksonville runs some 360 RV and tent campsites, 20+ miles of off-road trails and 25 public boat ramps; the city also staffs 24 community centers, 34 seasonal swimming pools, about 440 athletic facilities as well as after school programs, day camps and athletic leagues for all ages involving nearly every sport imaginable.
Mayor Peyton will discuss our city's parks as well as community and senior centers during his second town hall meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m., at the Ed Ball Building (214 N. Hogan Street in downtown Jacksonville).

Mayor Peyton is schedule to rejoin the morning team next Monday, July 27, beginning at 5:30 a.m.
The topic will be how"Public Works" could be affected by the city's $60 million budget shortfall.
