JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Police have arrested a woman for shooting a teenager to death. Police found the 17-year-old victim dead in a car at a gas station.
Investigators now say 20-year-old Britney Swain shot 17-year-old Dominique Brown in the back as the two sat in a car Thursday evening.
Swain reportedly told police she took a gun from her aunt's house, hid it in her pocket, and while sitting behind Brown in the back seat of a car, she shot her.
Police found Brown's body at a Lil' Champ gas station at Edgewood and New Kings Road.
No word yet on a motive. Police said Brown and Swain were friends. Swain's brother, Antonio Campbel, says they were cousins.
Brown's family did not want to talk about fatal shooting.
Rachelle Paige who lives next door to the Brown family described the murder victim as sweet and nice.
"My heart just stopped, just sad, she (Brown) was so young," said Paige.
Swain is now facing murder charges.
