NEW YORK (AP) -- Beyonce is taking a page out of the Jay Leno playbook. She is giving away a bunch of tickets for her concert in the Detroit area this week.
She has set aside 2,500 free tickets for the Saturday show at the Palace of Auburn Hills for local families affected by the downturn in the automobile industry. Those who will attend will be drawn from a list provided by a local congressman and a group of community service groups.
Former "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno did a series of free shows to help people take their minds off the economic crisis in the area.
