CAMP BLANDING, FL -- Frank Towers is all about putting "liberty" and "freedom" in celebrating the Fourth of July.
The 92-year-old World War II veteran can be found every Tuesday at the Camp Blanding Museum, sharing the past and reminding people of the cost of freedom.
"Freedom is not cheap, it comes at a very high price," says Towers who took part in the Normandy Invasion that helped liberate Europe.
Towers, who has been recognized by the French and Dutch governments for his military contributions during World War II, measures freedom by how it's appreciated.
"My life began all over again. You gave us new life. They're so thankful," says Towers characterizing how he is greeted by Europeans when he returns to where he fought 65 years ago.
"We take an awful lot for granted in America," said Towers who wants people to include thinking about our "freedom" when celebrating Independence Day.
