
NEW YORK (AP) -- Vibe is no more. The hip-hop and urban culture magazine founded by Quincy Jones is folding its doors.
An official with the company says most of the 50 or so employees are being laid off.
Vibe was founded in 1993. During the last six months of last year, it had a paid circulation of roughly 800,000.
The economy has seen a decline in demand for many during the last six months of 2008.
