ATLANTA (AP) -- Usher's wife says she was blind-sided when her husband filed papers to divorce her.
In court documents, Tameka Raymond disputes Usher's claims that the couple have been separated since July of last year. The court paperwork says until the papers were filed to dissolve the marriage she "had every reason to believe her marriage was intact." And she says, the two were "intimately together as husband and wife" less than a week before he filed for divorce.
In the filings, Tameka Raymond asks a judge to make sure Usher continues to support his family, while the divorce makes its way through the courts, including paying her legal fees. A call to Usher's divorce lawyer was not immediately returned Tuesday.
