JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The First Coast News Director of Technology says there are some immediate benefits to doubling WTLV/WJXX's digital power.
"For some it is a more reliable picture," says Jerry Michel.
Michel says viewers who were receiving a signal before will not have to make adjustments, or re-scan their digital tuners. "We have not changed channels; we have doubled our power," says Michel.
But some viewers may still have reception problems.
"If you are 15 to 20 miles from the station's antenna, your reception will be okay," says Michel.
But beyond that you may have to consider an outdoor antenna. Michel says, "There are outdoor antennas you can use up in your attic."
