JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Betty Watson needed some help. The room she has reserved for her grandchildren was leaking, this after paying Mike Frailey and Sons $2,000 to fix the roof.

"He did not do what he was supposed to do," says Watson.

'On Your Side' reported about Watson's problems and several First Coast samaritans came to her rescue.

Jay Maust, owner of Ford Metal Roofing, was quick to respond. "We responded as quick as we could," says Maust.

Maust company repaired the roof free of charge. "We noticed there was no flashing and the roof was not tied in properly," says Maust.

It is repaired and Ford Metal Roofing says it will warranty the work.

Two men from the Oceanway Lodge 279 also showed up to help Watson. Mavern Griffin says his lodge members will repair the damaged ceiling tiles on the inside.

"It is part of our responsibility to take care of widows and orphans," says Griffin.

Betty Watson is grateful.

"I thank you for airing my story that maybe one more person can be helped in a situation like this. Thank you so much," says Watson.

Ford Metal Roofing says any consumer with a problem can call and the company will gladly walk them through the steps in hiring a roofer.
