TORONTO (AP) -- The tour manager of the Black Eyed Peas is in a bit of trouble. Police in Toronto have charged him with assault after he allegedly slugged celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
This all went down outside a nightclub. Hilton says he got into a verbal beef with will.i.am and Fergie at the Cobra club early yesterday morning.
When they got outside, Hilton says he was punched by Polo Molina, the band's tour manager. Molina has surrendered to authorities and is charged with assaulting Hilton.
Molina is due in court on August 5.
Hilton, who is gay, tells The Associated Press he called will.i.am a "faggot" after the musician told him not to write about the Black Eyed Peas on his Web site. In a video posting on dipdive.com, will.i.am says he tried to approach Hilton respectfully and was called the gay slur.
A spokeswoman for the Black Eyed Peas declined comment.
