Cab Driver Shot at Apartment Complex, Drives Himself to Hospital

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Jacksonville Sheriff's Officers are looking for the person they say shot a cab driver early Monday morning. The shooting happened a little before 4 at the Roosevelt Gardens Apartments on Lincoln Court.

Officials say someone robbed a cab driver and then shot him. They say the cab driver drove himself to Shands Jacksonville, which is not far from where the shooting occurred. At last check, authorities say he was in surgery with non-life threatening injuries.

Police officers were at both scenes, the apartment complex and the hospital. They don't have a suspect in custody. Robbery detectives are handling the case.
