JACKSONVILLE, FL -- At the Mandarin Apartments complex on Sunbeam Road, there is a group of people standing outside in the heat. They say they don't want to, but they have to.
"It's hotter in my apartment than it is outside. I can't do this," says Teresa Lewis. Her apartment is hot because she has been without air since Wednesday morning.
Lewis isn't the only one affected. A number of other residents are having the same problem. Those with the apartment office say they are trying to solve the issue.
"I'm sweating. The house is hot. It's miserable in there," says Antoinette Roland.
The neighbors have fans running in their homes. They are trying to keep the cool air that is left inside. "I feel like I'm in 120 degree heat. I feel like I'm boiling, boiling, boiling."
The frustration is boiling too. They don't know how long they will be without air. It's not comforting news for them considering Thursday through Sunday are supposed to be the warmest days of the year so far.
