JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Schools across Florida will learn on Thursday what grade they earned, but Robert E. Lee High got some good news early, courtesy of Governor Charlie Crist.
While attending a bill signing ceremony, Crist told the crowd at Lee High the school got a passing grade.
"Well, tomorrow it's going to come out that you are a C, " said Crist to a round of applause.
Last year, Lee High earned a "D" based on student FCAT scores.
Principal Denise Hall was excited to get the news ahead of other schools.
"The teachers have worked hard; students have worked hard," said Hall, who planned to email staff the good news.
