NEWARK, NJ (AP) -- Michael Jackson is being sued by a New Jersey concert promoter, basically for ditching his own family.

The promoter, Allgood Entertainment, claims it had made a deal with Jackson's manager at the time to produce a reunion concert with the Jackson family this summer. The suit claims that under the terms of the deal, Jackson was not to perform elsewhere before the event or for at least three months after it.

But the suit says Jackson broke that deal when he signed up with another promoter to do a series of concerts in London this summer. Representatives for Jackson couldn't be reached for comment yesterday.

And lost in all of this is the fact the Jackson may not be able to do any of the shows. He has already postponed some of the dates in London, including the series opener, fueling speculation that he isn't well enough for a concert tour, with or without his family.
