LAUDERHILL, Fla. (AP) -- More cats have been found dead in South Florida.

Police say the mutilated bodies of two cats were found near two homes in south Miami-Dade County over the weekend. Since April, more than two dozen cats have been found tortured and killed on their owners' lawns in Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay.

Authorities are urging cat owners to keep their pets indoors, and rewards are being offered for information about the killings. Miami-Dade Police Detective Roy Rutland says investigators need more tips.

In Broward County, seven cats have been found dead and mutilated, including five cats found Saturday around one block in Lauderhill. The city's police spokesman, Capt. Rick Rocco, says a pack of dogs is believed to be responsible for most of those deaths.
