NEW YORK, NY -- Federal authorities say a former Wall Street broker charged in a subprime mortgage securities scam has jumped bail.

Julian Tzolov (Zoh-LOHV') had been under house arrest awaiting a trial set for June 29.

But prosecutors notified a judge in Brooklyn on Friday that he left home without permission on May 9, and hasn't been heard from since.

The former Credit Suisse Securities broker pleaded not guilty last year to charges he duped investors into buying more than $1 billion in high-risk securities tied to subprime loans.

It's alleged he concealed the risk by making it look like the trades were backed by federally guaranteed student loans.

Prosecutors say the scheme was exposed when the subprime market collapsed.
