JACKSONVILLE, FL -- She graduated from Stanton College Prep in 2003 and now she's in Medical School at Florida State. Tiffany Williams is our Student of the Week.

Even as a young girl, Tiffany excelled in school. She was in the gifted program in elementary and she was always a cheerleader. For high school she attended Stanton College Prep School. "The atmosphere here was more of not, 'are you going to college, but where are you going to college?' which is nice," said Tiffany.

She was known as Tiffany Wells in school and has since married. She returned to Stanton to talk to First Coast News and catch up with former teachers. She was very involved in activities in high school. She graduated from Stanton with enough college credits to enter the University of Florida as a sophomore instead of a freshman.

"I was able to skip over some of the general classes and dive into my major and into some of the science classes I had to do for pre-med."

Tiffany graduated pre-med from U.F. in 3 years and started medical school at Florida State University where she continues to be at the top of her class. She's now in her 4th and final year of med school then it's 4 years of residency. The reason she wants to become a doctor, "I like science and I like people. I love to talk to people and medicine in the culmination of those two things."

When she finishes with medical school Tiffany will have had 20 years of schooling, not including her residency. She wants to become an OB/GYN so she can help women.
