MIAMI, FL -- The Florida Marlins activated right-hander Anibal Sanchez from the disabled list on Tuesday and recalled outfielder Alejandro De Aza from the minors.

Sanchez was scheduled to start Tuesday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Sanchez was put on the disabled list May 8 with a right shoulder sprain. He is 1-4 with a 5.79 ERA in six starts this season.

De Aza was 3 for 9 with two RBIs in three games with Florida earlier this season. He was hitting .278 with four homers and 20 RBIs for Triple-A New Orleans of the Pacific Coast League.

Following Monday night's game, the Marlins optioned righty Cristhian Martinez to Double-A Jacksonville and catcher Brett Hayes to New Orleans.
