ATLANTIC BEACH, FL--Young people need to make smart decisions on developing a healthy lifestyle early in life. It can pay off big down the road. This is the message of Karina Petroni.
The Atlantic Beach professional surfer is planning a health festival Sunday on Jacksonville Beach called "Never Quit." Karina's father suffered a brain aneurysm and this motivated her to educate our community on how to live healthy. Her brother Eric, says Sundays Never Quit festival will be a great way to learn while having fun.
Meteorologist Mark Collins went surfing with Karina and learned about Sundays Never Quit Beach festival. When Karina is home from competing on the ASP World Surfing Tour she has been speaking to schools and pushing a message on living healthy and the importance of family life. But this is the first event of the Never Quit Never Tour to that includes so many beach activities. A 5K fun run, and a chance to learn to surf...Let's not forget the food, lithographs, massages, and t-shirts given out to those who register.
