JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A week of rain cut into the action, but hardly put the brakes on a sports action show being made at the Kona Skate Park.

Director Jeff King of the show "Built to Shred" made the rain work for the camera.

"The weather kind of threw us off a bit; we came out here from San Diego," said King, director of the action sports show.

Kona modified its venue by allowing skate boarding inside, including a modified rail in the middle of the lobby.

The rain did not deny three area motorcyclists into freestyle moto cross who hit the ramps outside in stride.

Kona's owner Martin Ramos says it was a first, allowing motorcycles on the big stage.

"These guys are pretty anxious. I was surprised (they) jumped out there in the rain," said Ramos.

While the rain cut into the action this week at Kona, wet conditions added some drama and challenges--new action in two action sports.
