BLYTHEWOOD,SC -- The woman who says her friend kidnapped her and her 8-year-old son is speaking out, in hopes of getting 33-year-old Brian Johnson behind bars.

The woman doesn't want to be identified because she fears for her and her family's safely. She says since the incident on April 30, Johnson has tried to contact her a couple times and she's afraid of what he might do.

She says she became friends with him last June and confided in him during her and her husband's separation. She says he had an ear to listen to her until he started turning on her in February.

"The first time he hit me, I fought back and he told me 'If you call the police, you know they're going to take both of us and you need to be there for your kids,'" the victim said.

Finally, on April 30 the victim says she had enough and told Johnson she wanted him out of her life.

They both went to take one of her sons to school and while driving down Kelly Mill road, the victim says Johnson got mad and wouldn't let her out of the car when she tried to call police.

"He grabbed me by my shirt and pulled me back in, but I couldn't get my legs in, so my legs were hanging out the door," she said.

She says he continually smashed her head while she screamed for help which woke up her 8-year-old son in the back seat.

"He started screaming 'Why are you choking my mommy? Let my mommy go!'" she said.

She says he shoved both the victim and her son while swerving down the road. Eventually he pulled over and when a passerby check to see if everything was okay, that's when the victim says Johnson jumped out and ran away.

"As soon as he closed the door, I jumped up and locked the door and drove off," she said.

Police eventually got to the victim and her son, who were both physically and emotionally bruised. The victim says she never thought she'd be involved in something like this.

Though her confidence is shaken, her message is not.

"If you know you're being abused, no matter how much they say they care about you and what they'll do for you, just get out of it because it only gets worse."

She says she hopes Johnson gets caught so he doesn't hurt other women.
