Good Deal: Summer Movies for Children

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Nothing beats taking your kids to the movies when it's really hot in the summer or there's rain in the forecast. But the cost of going to the movie theatre can really add up when you consider the cost of the tickets, the popcorn, the candy and drinks.

So, here's a Good Deal to help you out in this recession. Check out AMC's Summer Movie Camp. From June 17 through August 5, you can take your children to see certain movies on Wednesdays for only $1.00.

And, you can get a Kids Pack combo at the concession for $3.00, which is about half the normal price.

Here's the catch. The movies have already been shown, but they are popular with children. And, you have to watch them at AMC theatres. There are two AMC theatres in Jacksonville, one in Orange Park and the other at Regency Square.

Some of the movies are Horton Hears a Who, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Space Chimps and Kung Fu Panda.
