JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Boney Road is horse pastures and open land in the far northeast corner of Duval County.

It's also where a mother is holding her children just a little tighter on Tuesday.

Elizabeth Brown is the aunt of toddlers Yazmine and Ismina Caldwell, who perished after walking away from the family home Monday into the pond behind their home.

Brown hugs her own children, eleven year old Serina and 15-year old Jay near a memorial of teddy bears and flowers by the gate of the family's driveway.

"I wanted to go grab my kids and know that they were OK," said Brown, "to physically touch them."

The fence blocks off a driveway to three family homes where a half a dozen chilldren have grown up, and where the twin girls lost their life.

The 2-year-olds drowned in a retention pond just behind their home Monday afternoon.

Brown says her brother, sister-in-law and the grandparents are extremely distraught.

"It's extremely hard on them right now. They just want to be alone with the family."

Brown knows there are no answers to bring comfort to her kin, but reached out to the First Coast Community.

"Just pray. Just pray that they can make it through it, and that everybody can make it through it. Grandparents. Parents. Just everybody."

With a funeral to plan and funeral expenses, there is the unknown amidst the grief.

"I really don't know what would be next. I mean, they have to heal and just know that their family is here for them."

Brown has advice for all moms out there.

"Keep your babies under you. I mean, I've made it to almost all of them making it to teenagers and they still...I don't like to get 'em out of my sight."
