PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL -- Just trying to keep up with her is a workout. Thank goodness SunTrust banker Darlene Riggs has so much energy; she needs it the week of THE PLAYERS Championship. For the past 18 years, Darlene has dedicated her time serving the now more than 2100 volunteers during the week of THE PLAYERS. Darlene oversees up to 40 employees a day -- many of whom are friends and family -- and helps distribute about 6,500 hamburgers, 2,900 hot dogs and 750 dozen eggs cooked to order. In fact, her help is so appreciated THE PLAYERS named the volunteers' favorite hangout spot after her: Darlene's Diner. It's a bustling center where all the volunteers come to fuel up for the long days of catering to the tens of thousands of visiting golf fans.
