MIAMI, FL -- The Archdiocese of Miami says a priest who allegedly appeared in compromising beach photos with a woman is out as head of the diocese's radio network.

A spokeswoman for the Archdiocese said Tuesday Father Alberto Cutie is also no longer head of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Miami Beach.

Spokeswoman Mary Ross Agosta said Cutie met privately with his superior and it wasn't disclosed whether Cutie quit or was removed. Cutie didn't return a phone message left at his office.

Cutie headed the archdiocese' Radio Paz and Radio Peace broadcasts. The Cuban-American priest was born in Puerto Rico and previously hosted shows on Telemundo. He also writes syndicated Spanish-language newspaper columns.

The photos allegedly show Cutie and the woman embracing on the beach and at a bar.
