TAMPA, FL -- Neighbors in Westchase have seen plenty of alligators but this one all the buzz, and its visit was caught on tape!
Belinda Donaldson got a call around 10 AM from a neighbor telling her a large gator was on her door step.
The mother of two took home video of the bull gator. He was between 10 and 12 feet long and weighed 400 to 600 pounds.
"It was a little concerning thankfully he seemed pretty well put for a little while.
He would move his head occasionally but didn't really appear too aggressive at that point.
It took a few hours for the trapper to get here, and at that point, obviously his outlook the gator's outlook changed a little bit," says Donaldson.
While the trapper was after him, the gator thrashed around and did do some damage to the landscape and sprinkler system.
Donaldson says she has good neighbors and appreciates them giving her a head's up she had a visitor on the front step.
