JACKSONVILLE, FL -- State Fire Marshal investigators have determined what caused the fire that burned two businesses to the ground Thursday afternoon.
Jaguar Builders, a contractor, and Accessibility Specialists, a company specializing in fitting vans for handicapped use, are located off Beach Boulevard.
Investigators say workers were welding a van in the back of the complex, and embers from the welding caught the van on fire.
The fire then spread throughout the businesses.
Surveillance video confirms the finding.
The owners of the businesses did not want to make a comment to First Coast News about their loss.
