HOLIDAY, FL -- It's the most popular story on MomsLikeMe.com. Is it more difficult to be a full-time working mom or a stay-at-home mom?
The initial post on MomsLikeMe.com came from GoldenMom, the manager of Tampa Bay MomsLikeMe.com:
Of course I think working mothers have it harder since we have the family life and then the stress of performing all day at work as well, but is that really the case?
Or is it tougher for SAHM's who are expected to take care of the kids and all their activities and have the house clean and dinner done?
SAHM stands for "stay-at-home mom."
Since then, 41 people have commented on the topic, including GallagherMom, who posted this comment:
I think if you are a working mom, you feel guilty that you are not staying home. If you are a SAHM you feel guilty you are not working. Every mother does what is best for her family. Having done both, I would have to say being a SAHM is harder for me.
In this economy, many stay-at-home moms have had to go back to work. And those moms who were already working are finding the job stresses are greater than they were five years ago.
'You're working harder and staying longer because there's just less job security. And you feel like you have to these days,' one mom said.
Still, many moms say staying at home can be much more difficult than a day at a conventional job.
