AMELIA ISLAND, FL -- Sitting in a small room here at work, editing my Power of One story, I heard something strange on the tape right at the spot where I had shot video of David Caples visiting his daughter's grave.

I cranked the volume all the way up to hear what I thought was ... whispering.

It was David ... saying hello to his little girl, now gone 11 years.

I can't imagine how difficult it is to lose a child.

"For parents who have lost a child ... I really don't think it gets any better each day," David tries to explain.

I'm even more in awe at how David and his family have turned the tragedy into something great.

This Saturday will mark the 5th annual Katie Ride for Life, a cycling event the Caples family started to bring increased awareness to the need for organ donors.

Katie was an organ donor.

In death, she gave life to 6 people ages 9 to 62.
