
PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ -- Arizona Police shoot and kill a rabid bobcat Monday afternoon after it attacked and injured a 13-year-old girl and her 43-year-old mother.
The bobcat bit the girl on the leg.
The mother, Lisa Montonati, was injured by the animal when she defended her daughter Christina from the attack.

They were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Prescott Valley police officers later found the animal.
They said it charged at them in an aggressive manner.
The officers, fearing for their safety, shot and killed the bobcat.
Arizona Game and Fish agents took custody of the animal as part of their investigation.
It's the second bobcat attack in the area in recent weeks.
Police in Cottonwood killed a bobcat last month after it attacked patrons in a bar.
