JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Can a porcupine really throw its quills?

How long can a Cuban iguana hold its breath underwater?

Sound like questions from a zoo!

Actually, they're questions from educators at Busch Gardens/Tampa and its new Jungala activity exhibit.

And students at John E. Ford Elementary in downtown Jacksonville loved getting to see the animals from Busch Gardens make a VIP (or is it VIA?) appearance at their school.

Busch Gardens is helping us get kids active in our new Fight the Couch project, which encourages students to log activity minutes for prizes.

Free tickets to Busch Gardens for an entire Fight the Couch team is one of the cool prizes we're offering.

The four teams with the most activity minutes win prizes.

Other prizes? Free tennis shoes for the entire winning team from 1st Place Sports, gift cards from Dick's Sporting Goods, and free tickets to Adventure Landing Jacksonville.

And the answers to the animal questions? Just click on the video story and you'll find out.

Meanwhile, this is the last week to register for Fight the Couch.

So far we have more than 400 teams, meaning thousands of children will be getting healthier and discovering how much fun it is to be in motion, rather than just zoned out on the couch.

Teachers, we encourage you to join us. You must register on firstcoastnews.com.

Just click on HEALTH and then KICK IT UP FIRST COAST.

It's our station commitment to fighting obesity, a serious problem on the First Coast. Experts say one third of children are obese or overweight.
