ATLANTA (AP) -- Tired of sneezing, well you can blame the high pollen count across greater Atlanta. Physicians at the Atlanta Allergy and Asthma Clinic say the pollen count soared to 1,727 on Monday. On Friday, the pollen count was only 151. The culprits, according to doctors, are birch, oak, sweetgun, sycamore and willow trees. Doctors say some medications can reduce a person's exposure to pollen. They include nasal sprays, eye drops, antihistamines and decongestants. The peak allergy season in the south is historically the second week of April.
