JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Talk about talent! The students from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville have created a custom theme song for Fight the Couch.
Teacher Tom Haller is the mastermind of rallying students to discover their own creative power.
And the students came through!
Azschrielle Jackson and Jeremy Proctor are the key voices for the song.
Jeremy actually composed the idea from the start.
"The first time I heard it, I was dancing," Azschrielle says.
She plans to teach music and continue singing.
Jeremy wants to teach English in Japan and sing on the side.
(A special thanks to Jenii Tran for her creative input, as well.)
Feel free to use their theme song at your school for projects!
You'll also see the energetic students at San Mateo all fired up to Fight the Couch!
Teachers, the time is now to register to be in our new Fight the Couch project. We're encouraging kids to put down the remote controls and do anything active from running to walking the dog.
The four winning classes will get big prizes.
Fight the Couch begins a First Coast News initiative, "Kick It Up, First Coast," to tackle our local problem of obesity.
