
JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Free Diabetes Screenings will be administered on Tuesday, March 24th. This is to "Sound the Alert" that in Northeast Florida more than 100,000 people have diabetes and almost 1/3 of those people, about 30,000 people don't know they have it.
"Sound the Alert" is an awareness campaign by the the American Diabetes Association on American Diabetes Alert Day.
Locally, you can get free blood glucose screenings from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m at the Avenues Mall, Orange Park Mall, Gateway Mall, Regency Square Mall and the St. Johns Town Center.
