JACKSONVILLE, FL -- It's always hectic getting everything ready to go on live TV; and it's no different at Stanton College Prep, where they broadcast live newscasts daily.

In the middle of it all is the Television Instructor Diana Blount. At the last minute, she's checking microphones and cameras. "It's a three ring circus here," said Blount.

It all looks so easy and the students credit their teacher. "Ms. Blount is probably the best teacher I have here. I've been interested in TV production since 5th grade, but she has been the best TV production teacher I've had," said 10th grader Jean Lipsky.

In class, the students learn how to do every job from directing to producing to anchoring. "Typically I do audio and sometimes technical director... sometimes prompter machine. We usually switch every other day," said 10th grader Lincoln Devine.

Former student Nick Lulli, a 10th grader at Stanton, nominated Ms. Blount for Teacher of the Week. "She's really dedicated to her job here and she really teaches the students how to do all the basic equipment and advanced equipment."

Blount is thrilled to hear how much her students care about her and her class. "It makes me happy because that's what I'm here to do. I want them to enjoy this class and I want them to leave my class with a little bit of something they can use even if they never take TV production again or pursue this for a career."

Blount has been teaching for 28 years and she says, it's a job she loves.
