
JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Things are getting back to normal after a fire broke out overnight at a hotel near the Jacksonville International Airport. The fire broke out around 2:45 a.m. Friday at the Holiday Inn. Fire investigators say the fire was contained to a room on the sixth floor. Firefighters say no one was inside the room. JFRD says the fire was caused by a wall mounted A/C heater unit. More than 80 hotel guests were evacuated to another part of the hotel. The hotel has found accommodations for the guests displaced by the fire. No one was hurt. The wing where the fire occurred is now closed.
