JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is making Christmas happen for a local family in need.
Officers took a great-grandmother shopping at Wal-Mart in Arlington Thursday morning.
Her grand-daughter died this past summer, so she took in her three children.
The Crime Free Housing Unit at JSO pooled their money to buy presents and clothes for the kids.
"Well, now that I know her story it touches my heart and feels good that we're doing this for her," said Officer Marta Crespo. "I mean it really touches me at the bottom of my heart."
In addition to the toys, JSO raised money for Christmas dinner and a tree.
