JACKSONVILLE, FL -- How would you react if Jay Leno poked fun at your local business on national television?

The owners of Jax Beach Seafood on University Boulevard had no idea someone had sent one of their old menus in to the Tonight Show, until host Jay Leno began his "headlines" segment Monday night.

Leno pointed out a typo over the drink selection, asking viewers, "Mmmmm look at that! -Which one of these delicious 'Beaverages' would you like?"

The audience roared with laughter, and restaurateur John Bryant also laughed.

"Yeah --It's pretty funny. A lot of people think it's pretty funny!"

John Bryant and his brother bought Jax Beach Seafood a little over a year ago, and for awhile they kept the old menus, typos and all.

"The previous owners had the menus, and we've since had 'em replaced," said Bryant with a chuckle.

"But we just kind of left it on there. A lot of people thought it was funny, you know? So we weren't in no big hurry to change 'em!"

Bryant says Leno missed the chance for a second laugh on the misprinted menu just below "Beaverages" with a bogus wine list.

"Snapper wine. Flounder wine. Scallop wine," said Bryant.

Of course, the wine served here is a bit more traditional, along with the other "Beaverages" like Coke, and though the menus have been changed, Bryant and his crew are grateful --and tickled the nation had a giggle at their expense.

So what happens next?

"I don't know," said Bryant, laughing.

"Hopefully we'll get some business in here!"
