JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Stirrup pants, shoulder pads, oversized t-shirts, acid-washed jeans and bright colors, all key parts of fashion in the 1980s.
Some of those trends people hoped to keep buried, along with their 80's pictures. But other pieces of 80's style are making a comeback.
"Lots of bright earrings, bold colors and one shoulder dresses," says Emily Moody, the owner of Anomaly Boutique in Five Points.
"The dolman sleeve is popular again," says Moody. "It's little bit wider like a kimono style."
The 80's neon and greys are being mixed with new contrasting colors. "It makes the looks a little more modern but still inspired by the 80's," says Moody.
Large plastic earrings in bright colors are lining jewelry counters. As well as plastic bangles and jelly bracelets.
Moody is selling authentic bandles from the 70's and 80's at Anomaly. "They've never been worn before," says Moody. "They have just been sitting in a warehouse all these years waiting for the style to be 'in' again."
The guys are wearing 80's looks again too. Grey washed jeans and wayfarer sunglasses are big hits again.
Moody says it's important to keep your outfits modern and not go overboard. She says remember one key rule, "If you hated it in the 80's then don't wear it again."
