New S.R. 9A / JTB Ramp Opening Today

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A new ramp at State Road 9A and J. Turner Butler Boulevard is opening today (August 4th). The new flyover ramp from S.R. 9A northbound to JTB westbound will open after the morning rush-hour.

Drivers will likely be using the new ramp after 9 a.m.

This is the second major opening in a week. Last monday (July 28th) the ramp from JTB westbound to S.R. 9A southbound opened to traffic.

There are two other ramps that will open in the coming months according to Florida's Department of Transportation.

The ramp from S.R. 9A southbound to JTB eastbound will likely open in late August or early September.

The new ramp from JTB eastbound to S.R. 9A northbound is schedule to open in October. That is when the whole project will likely be finished.

These new ramps will ease the commute for the thousands of drivers who pass this interchange everyday.
