Wet Roads and Evening Commute Slowdowns

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Afternoon rain showers are causing some problems on the road ways.

There is an accident on Interstate 295 after U.S. 17 that is blocking one northbound lane. Northbound traffic is backup from the start of the Buckman Bridge.

There is also a crash on Interstate 10 westbound just after Interstate 95. The vehicles are out of the travel lanes but there is onlooker delays. It is adding to slowdowns on I-95 southbound starting around 8th St.

Authorities have closed Melson Avenue at 12th Street due to police activity.

Police are directing traffic onto N. Edgewood to Commonwealth or Beaver Street.
