JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Morning commuters met heavy congestion on State Road 9A northbound on Wednesday.
Just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning crews had to close all northbound lanes for a while. They re-opened all lanes around 8 a.m.
Mike Goldman with Florida's Department of Transportation says the crews were re-striping the lanes when they unexpectantly had to close all lanes to finish the work.
Traffic was backed up for about 3 miles while crews finished their work.
